Pauline passed away peacefully in Assiniboia on May 9, 2025 at the age of 91 years.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Marcel; infant son John Paul; parents George and Annette Dumelie; sisters Marcelle (Maurice) Perigny, Lorraine (Rene) Dejaegher, Jeanne (Leon) Beaubien, brother Camille Dumelie.
Left to mourn her are her children David (Leslie) Dumont (Julia, Nicholas); Barbara (Merle) Ollenberger (Kyle, Scott (Sophia Boissonnault); Celine (Rob) Fehler (Landon); Ben (Kim).
Also left to mourn her are her sisters Yvonne Endersby, Marie Costain, Lucille Walters, Pat (Ron) Tyerman; brothers Leo Dumelie, Roland (Terry) Dumelie; Claude (Anna) Dumelie and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was born in Lafleche, SK on October 19, 1933. She graduated from grade 12 in Lafleche and was honored to be the valedictorian of her class. After graduating, she obtained her Secretarial certificate in Regina. She married Marcel in Lafleche on October 19, 1955 and that is where they raised their family. During her career, she worked at E.J. Bourassa’s, Wensel Agencies and the Lafleche Union Hospital. She was very active in her community, serving as a volunteer and board member on various committees.
She enjoyed knitting, needlework, playing cards, reading, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed watching curling and baseball and was a loyal Blue Jays fan.
Pauline’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Prairie Villa Care Home in Assiniboia.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Piche Hawkins Grondin Funeral Chapels, 601 Highway 2 North, Assiniboia, SK. Memorial donations in Pauline’s memory can be given to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 2308 Arlington Ave., Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L3.
