Islay Olga Rink: September 2, 1927 - April 28, 2025
Islay passed away peacefully on Monday April 28, 2025, at home with her daughter Sandra by her side, where she resided following the death of her husband in 2018.
Islay was predeceased by her husband Bernard of 68 years (2018); her son Melford; and daughter Sharon Raczynski.
Islay leaves behind her loving daughter Sandra; her grandson Michael (Keri Ann); and two great grandchildren, Oliver and Maya Raczynski.
Islay grew up in Tuelon, Manitoba and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She met and married her husband, Bernie, and they resided in Winnipeg.
The family moved from Winnipeg to Kamsack and over time Islay was a business owner of the Classic Style Shop. Islay was active in her community and in her engagement and devotion in the Roman Catholic Church and she was also a member of the Legion. They left Kamsack in 2006 for independent living in Regina and after the death of her husband Bernie, Islay moved to Calgary with her daughter Sandra in 2018.
Isla will be remembered for her devout Roman Catholic faith, her kindness and generosity, her grace, courage and her classic style!
