With great sadness, we announce Tim Book's passing on November 23, 2024, at the age of 65.
Tim was born and raised in Loreburn, Saskatchewan, by his loving parents. He moved to Fort Saskatchewan, where he raised his family, and finally to Thailand, where he spent most of his retirement years. He was characterized by his wild and adventurous spirit, love of travel, and desire to leave everyone he met feeling like he was their friend. Many people will feel his loss.
He was always known for his willingness to help whenever needed and his ability to celebrate every occasion with a feast that he had lovingly and creatively crafted. This was ; often followed by strawberry shortcake and all the sneaky strawberries for whichever of the grandchildren happened to be his assistant. The very bestest Papa who showed up ready to play and always came with his homemade frisbee's and prizes for everyone who wanted to join in.
We will miss his playful nature and generous spirit.
Tim is survived by his children Scott (Molly), Jennifer (Rick), Jeffrey (Carrie), Michael (Violeta) & Steven (Daylene); grandchildren Jacob, Hannah, Sarah, London, Lilly, Carson and Kotomi. His partner, Gune and family are in Thailand. His brother Jim (Claire), and sisters Susan and Bev (Randy Rudel), sister in-law Barb and many nieces and nephews.
Tim was predeceased by his parents Pat and Moe with his brother Barry recently passing.
A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 1pm at the Loreburn Town & Country Activity Centre, Light refreshments to follow.
