REGINA - Eileen Kessel was having a relaxing day at home watching TV, drinking a coffee, and scratching a couple instant tickets. Her day didn’t stay relaxing for long though, the Regina local uncovered a $250,000 win on her Crossword Deluxe ticket.

“I couldn’t believe it!” she said at her prize claim interview. “I won $20 right away and then just kept uncovering word after word…”

“Honestly, I was happy to win $20,” she continued. “I never expected to win $250,000!”

The new winner said she hasn’t made any plans for her windfall, but she does have one idea to get her started.

“I haven’t done a lot of travelling yet,” she started. “I have a couple friends in Alberta and B.C. that I wouldn’t mind connecting with again, so maybe a couple trips out that way.”

Kessel purchased her $10 Crossword Deluxe ticket from the 7-Eleven Food Store located at 2102 Pasqua St. in Regina.
