SASKATCHEWAN — At 6:25 p.m., Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible.
This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.

SaskAlert says conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain in some areas of the province, presently along a swath from Lloydminster to Assiniboia and down to the border, including Saskatoon and the area west of Regina.
Environment Canada says a low-pressure system over central Alberta is expected to trigger scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Some of these thunderstorms may reach severe thresholds, and several areas are under warnings.
This severe thunderstorm watch may be expanded eastward as the evening progresses. There are also thunderstorm warnings in addition to the watches, which Environment Canada says are capable of producing very strong wind gusts and up to nickel-sized hail and heavy rain. These areas include:
