REGINA - Kenneth Dorsch had no idea what would happen when he decided to purchase a Crossword Supreme instant ticket from the Victoria Square Shopping Centre Lottery Kiosk at 2223 Victoria Ave. E in Regina on Dec. 13.

After scratching the ticket later that same day, Dorsch discovered that the choice had made him $250,000 richer!

“When I started doing the words, I thought I might have missed a word, so I thought I got $10,000,” Dorsch explained. But after Dorsch scanned it, he realized he had won the game's top prize!

“I was in shock!” he recalled as he claimed his prize.

“I remember thinking about how I’m going to have so much trouble making it thorough the day because I was just so excited,” laughed the Regina resident.

The happy winner said he’s going to use part of his windfall to put toward retirement, but he also has some other exciting plans in mind.

“It’s about making the right choices,” he said. “I have an older vehicle and I have to get that replaced then I’m thinking about going to visit my nephew in California.”
