Snow expected to fall tonight in central Sask., continue until Thursday

A low pressure system is expected to bring five to 10 centimetres of snow across central Saskatchewan starting from the evening of Nov. 9 until Nov. 11.

A special weather statement from Environment Canada said that snow will fall in the central part of Saskatchewan starting tonight and going until the morning of Thursday, Nov. 11. 

The white stuff is coming.

According to a special weather statement from Environment Canada, a low pressure system is expected to bring five to 10 centimetres of snow across central Saskatchewan, including the Battlefords, Meadow Lake, Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Outlook, Humboldt, Tisdale, Melfort, Nipawin, Hudson Bay, Yorkton, Kamsack, Canora, Preeceville and Moosomin.

Snowfall is expected to begin tonight, the evening of Nov. 9, continue throughout the day on Wednesday, Nov. 10 before tapering off the morning of Thursday, Nov. 11. 

Environment Canada said the heaviest snowfall is expected to fall along and north of the Yellowhead highway corridor. Patchy freezing rain is also possible along and to the south of the Yellowhead corridor as well.
