REGINA — Several road closures and traffic restrictions will be in effect throughout Regina on Wednesday, May 28, as the city and private contractors carry out sidewalk repairs, landscaping and roadwork.
Starting at 7 a.m., Broadway Avenue East eastbound will be restricted from Abbott Road to Park Street for 11 days as sidewalk repairs are completed. Park Street northbound at Broadway Avenue East will also be restricted for the same period.
On College Avenue, between Angus Street and Albert Street, traffic will be restricted from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. while crews plant flowers.
Dalgliesh Drive will see two stretches affected by private contractor work. From Vanier Drive to Battel Street, traffic will be restricted in both directions between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. A second closure from Lansdowne Drive to McCarthy Boulevard will also restrict both directions between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Grant Road will be closed between Grant Drive and Castle Road from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for road repairs. Mcara Street will be closed from Arcola Avenue to 13th Avenue between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for similar work.
Winnipeg Street will be closed from Victoria Avenue to 13th Avenue between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. while a private contractor completes road repairs.
Transit users are advised to check with Regina Transit for potential impacts to routes and bus stop access due to these closures.
