REGINA — The countdown is on for the Queen City Ex, presented by SaskTel, returning to the REAL District from July 30 to Aug. 3 with five days of midway fun, food and entertainment.

New this year is West Coast Amusements, the longest-running, family-owned midway in Canada, offering more than 40 rides — including the return of the iconic Zipper. Other thrill rides include Speed, Hurricane and Vertigo, while kids can enjoy rides like Mini-Monster Trucks and the Charlie Chopper.

The Original 16 Grandstand Stage will showcase an all-Canadian concert lineup:

  • July 30: Blue Rodeo
  • July 31: The Reklaws
  • Aug. 1: The Glorious Sons
  • Aug. 2: Sam Roberts Band
  • Aug. 3: Bif Naked and Kim Mitchell

Concerts are included with general admission. Fan Zone Passes for closer stage access are $20 in advance or $22 at the fair.

The Extreme Zone will feature BMX shows, Strongman competitions, and a demolition derby. The QCX Marketplace, Midway Stage, and Beer Gardens return alongside interactive performances like Blue’s Clues & You! and cultural showcases at Mostos Indigenous Village.

New features this year include:

  • Magic Money, a digital payment system via reloadable wristbands.
  • RAD passes, offering unlimited ride access for one day.
  • QCX fast pass, giving front-of-the-line ride access for $20.
  • A Friends and Family Pack with four admission passes for $60.
  • Reduced and simplified pricing, with no age-based rates.

Advance tickets and Ride All-Day passes are on sale online and at the Brandt Centre Box Office. Special deals will be available at Sherwood Co-op locations starting July 7.
