REGINA — A Regina-based jewellery store has partnered with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) for the upcoming Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy and Los Angeles.

Hillberg & Berk has entered into a four-year agreement with the COC as their official jewelry partner.

Rachel Mielke, CEO & Founder of Hillberg & Berk, described the partnership as organic, with the relationship her company has had with athletes and the COC.

“A lot of athletes had been wearing our products because of sentimental reasons, significance,” she said. “We’re a company that really likes to be rooted in the community.”

Before the official partnership announcement, Hillberg & Berk had already launched a special Team Canada Sparkle Heart Stud Earrings.

Three hundred of the earrings were sold quickly, and Mielke said they’ll be coming back in Aug., before Hillberg & Berk releases their Hillberg & Berk x Team Canada Collection in Dec.

This collection will include earrings, rings, and necklaces and will be available throughout the four-year partnership.

A portion of the money raised from the collection will go back towards the COC, said Mielke.

Along with the collection, Hillberg & Berk will continue creating the official Olympic rings for athletes who participate in the field.
