Regina Riot, Ovarian Cancer Canada team up for upcoming Teal Game

The Teal Game kicks off Sunday, June 1 at 1 p.m. at Leibel Field when the Riot take on longtime rivals, the Saskatoon Valkyries.

REGINA — The Regina Riot and Ovarian Cancer Canada (OCC) have partnered up once again for the upcoming Teal Game.

The Regina Riot recently united for an off-the-field cause, with 19 members donating blood.

“This initiative reflects the team’s commitment to community impact, health, and support for those in need,“ said the Riot in a media release.

Players of the team will wear teal athletic tape donated by the Canadian Blood Services in recognition of the Teal Game and the Riot's dedication..

“This game means so much more than football,” said Ashley Bisskey, president of Regina Riot. “It’s about honouring those affected by ovarian cancer and giving back to the community that always shows up for us.”
