REGINA – Police have charged three individuals following an early-morning robbery in the 3000 block of 5th Ave. last week.
Police say that at about 7:30 a.m. on June 3, officers were called to the area after a victim reported being assaulted and robbed while inside their vehicle. Three suspects approached the victim, assaulted them, and stole personal belongings before fleeing the scene.
After getting descriptions of the suspects and conducting an investigation, police arrested a man and woman on June 9. A third male suspect was taken into custody the following day, June 10. All arrests were made without incident.
The accused have been identified as Amanda Blueeyes, 33, who is charged with robbery and failing to comply with a probation order. Ronald Pewean, 45, faces a charge of robbery. Jonas Obey, 36, is charged with robbery, possession of a weapon and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
Blueeyes and Pewean made their first court appearances on June 10 in Regina Provincial Court, while Obey appeared on June 11.
