REGINA — Several road closures and traffic restrictions are planned across Regina on Thursday, June 26, as crews carry out maintenance and repair work on infrastructure throughout the city.

Starting at 7 a.m., 4th Avenue East will be closed from Fleury Street to Mackay Street until 4 p.m. to allow crews to complete storm drain repairs.

Also beginning at 7 a.m., eastbound traffic on 9th Avenue North will be restricted between Winnipeg Street and McDonald Street until 5 p.m. while a private contractor completes work in the area.

Drivers travelling on 25th Avenue between Athol Street and Garnet Street should also expect delays, as both directions will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. for concrete work.

Eastgate Drive will be fully closed from Argan Drive to Victoria Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. while crews complete water system repairs.

McIntyre Street, from Victoria Avenue to 12th Avenue, will be restricted starting at 7 a.m. and continuing June 26, 27, and 30 to allow for the operation of the tax booth at City Hall.

Stapleford Crescent will see two closures during the day: between Crerar Street and Drope Street from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for sewer cover repairs, and from Sherwood Drive to Coldwell Road between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for road repairs.

The City of Regina is reminding drivers to slow down in construction zones and follow posted signage. Transit users are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for potential changes to routes or bus stop locations.

Residents can stay informed on ongoing road work through the city’s Road Report.
