Drugs and weapons seized in Saskatoon

Saskatoon Guns and Gangs Unit concluded a drug trafficking investigation with help from the Tactical Support Unit and Crime Reduction Team.

SASKATOON — Saskatoon Police Service says two people have been arrested and several firearms were seized during a Guns and Gangs Unit investigation.

On July 30, the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit concluded a drug trafficking investigation with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit and Crime Reduction Team. At approximately 10:30 p.m. a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 600 Block of Kingsmere Boulevard. Two people were taken into custody at this time. A 33-year-old male is facing a combined total of eight drug possession and firearms charges. A 37-year-old female is facing one drug possession charge.

Evidence seized as part of this investigation includes:

  • 1.54 grams of methamphetamine
  • 34.85 grams of cocaine
  • Two prohibited shotguns and ammunition
  • Two pellet guns
