SASKATOON — Saskatoon Fire Department crews responded to an early morning structure fire on Saturday, July 26, in the 1400 block of East Heights.
The incident was reported at 4:08 a.m., and the first firefighters who arrived on the scene saw a detached garage fully engulfed in flames.
Crews worked their way to extinguish the fire, using an interior attack on the structure. A separate group made a quick sweep to confirm there were no occupants.
The fire has been brought under control, and positive pressure fans were set up after it was completely extinguished. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
Fire crews turned over the scene to a fire investigator once it was deemed safe to do so. The fire investigator will examine to identify the cause, origin, and estimate the damage.
