SASKATOON - Two men were arrested following a robbery yesterday evening in Saskatoon.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on May 21, police were called to the area of 10th Street East and Wiggins Avenue South for a report of two men breaking into vehicles. When confronted by a citizen, one of the men brandished a hatchet and fled. Upon police arrival, officers located the citizen who was able to point them to the fleeing suspects. Both suspects were arrested without incident and a hatchet was located discarded nearby.
As a result, a 34-year-old man has been charged with robbery, committing an offence while masked, possession of a weapon to commit an offence, and unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, while a 43-year-old man was charged with robbery.
