SASKATOON — A couple of robberies were among the incidents investigated by Saskatoon Police Service in recent days.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested and police are looking for a female suspect following a robbery that occurred on Friday.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., July 11, police were called to 8th Street East and McOrmond Drive where they located a 40-year-old man who reported being threatened with bear spray and robbed. The man had been in a vehicle with the male and female suspects when they demanded his vehicle keys and cash before leaving on foot. The male suspect was located a short time later. He is facing a charge of Robbery. The victim was not physically injured.
A 35-year-old man is in custody following a robbery which occurred Sunday.
Police were called to a convenience store in the 800 block of 22nd Street West at approximately 9:40 p.m., July 13. It was reported that a man had been assaulted outside the business. Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old man who had been beaten and robbed by three male suspects. He was transported to hospital with serious injuries. One male, matching a suspect description, was located nearby a short time later and arrested.
He is facing a charge of robbery. Members of the General Investigation Unit are investigating.
