Store employee stabbed preventing a woman from leaving without paying

SASKATOON - An 18-year-old woman is facing charges after she contacted police to tell them she had stabbed a man.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., April 29, police responded to a convenience store in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the woman who had called them. to report she had stabbed a man. A knife was seized and the 18-year-old female was taken into custody.

The 45-year-old victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The store employee, had prevented her from leaving without paying for her items. 

The 18-year-old female is charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
