Suspect facing charges after allegedly attempting to enter suite with gun

SASKATOON - One man was arrested and charged after an armed, break-and-enter incident on Saturday.

At around 7:30 p.m., May 24, patrol officers responded to a hotel in the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a weapons call. Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) was told that a man was attempting to forcefully enter a suite while holding a gun. When his efforts were unsuccessful, the suspect fled. Patrol officers located the suspect in the 600 block of Victoria Avenue South where he was taken into custody. The firearm in question was also located and seized by police.

A 32-year-old Saskatoon man is facing two firearms-related offences as well as a charge for attempting to break and enter to commit a crime.
