The 17 th Annual Career Fair in Assiniboia was busy on the Tuesday morning of September 24, with many local high school students visiting the stalls of exhibitors arranged in the curling rink at the Prince of Wales Cultural and Recreation Centre.

There was a small crowd in attendance at the People’s Party of Canada event on September 23 in Assiniboia at Club 55 because of the harvest season, but the mood was generally upbeat.

Glaciers transformed much of Canada’s topography by grinding down rocks and mountains. The glaciers also slashed deep into the landscape, creating valleys and chopping out pathways for winding rivers.

Randy Gaveronksi, the Assiniboia & District Museum Coordinator, estimated there were nearly 70 cars and 200 participants at the Southern Cruisers car show on Saturday, September 21.
