Summer prices dip at Assiniboia auction
The Assiniboia Livestock Auction held its regular cull cow and bull sale on July 5 with 431 head sold. This is down from 587 sold at the previous sale on June 21. Heiferettes sold between $1.10 and $1.30 per lb. This is down between $0.10 to $0.

Library starts children's summer reading program
The Assiniboia and District Public Library started up its children’s summer reading programs. The TD Summer Reading Club Summer Fun Time at the Library began on July 6 and it runs Thursdays until August 24. The program facilitator is Amanda Franks.
