WEYBURN - The boards of education of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division and South East Cornerstone Public School Division have approved the school year calendar for 2022-23.
The first day of classes will be Thursday, Sept. 1, so there will be two days of classes prior to the Labour Day long weekend.
The first day for the Christmas holiday break will be Friday, Dec. 23. Classes will resume on Monday, Jan. 9, 2023.
The annual winter break will be the week of Feb. 20-24. Feb. 20 is Family Day. Classes will resume Feb. 27.
Good Friday is April 7, 2023, and then spring break will be April 10-14. Classes will resume April 17.
The final day of classes is June 28, 2023.
In keeping with legislative and regulatory amendments, school year calendars must ensure that a minimum of 950 hours of instructional time is provided to all students. These legislative and regulatory amendments were implemented to ensure that there is consistent minimum amount of instruction time.
