ASSINIBOIA - The Assiniboia and District Chamber of Commerce will host a Lunch N’ Learn at the Canalta Hotel on Thursday, May 26 from noon to 1 p.m.
The May Lunch N’ Learn will include a presentation from Communities in Bloom, with an update on their plans for the summer of 2022. This event will provide an opportunity for local organizations and businesses to learn how they can help.

A date has been set for the Assiniboia Chamber’s golf tournament. It will be held at the Assiniboia Golf Course on Sunday, June 12. Interested teams can call the Assiniboia Golf Course to register.
The Assiniboia and District Chamber of Commerce had a success 2022 Tradeshow held in April. According to their May newsletter, there were approximately 775 people in attendance at the 2022 Tradeshow this year.
The Chamber presented a door prize to Niamh Hickey, and a children’s door prize to Gabriella Willis. The winner of the 50/50 draw was Mylo Chubb.
The Assiniboia Chamber is already planning for their next Tradeshow in 2024. Their next big event will be the Ethnic Jubilee, which is scheduled for the fall of 2023.
The Assiniboia Chamber has launched a mini “Shop Local” social media campaign. They are asking for business professionals to send in a brief quote (one to three sentences) on why they believe it is important to shop local and support the local community.
Local businesses can submit a quote for a chance to have their business featured on the Assiniboia Chamber’s social media accounts. Shop local quotes can be emailed to assiniboiadistrictchamber.sk@gmail.com.
