BIENFAIT - The leadership group of eight students at Bienfait Weldon School raised money for the Estevan Community Hamper Association’s Angel Tree by having a gourmet hot chocolate fundraiser and sloppy joe hot lunch.

They were able to raise $1,055.55 and the Weldon school community council matched that total. The student leadership then topped up the amount for a total of $2,500.

The kids were able to go shopping with their teachers, and the gifts were picked up by Sgt. Braden Lonsberry with the Estevan Police Service, who was there to help deliver the gifts to the Angel Tree.
