ESTEVAN - Estevan city-wide registration will take place on Sept. 8 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

City organizations, sports groups and clubs will be on location at Affinity Place Waking Track to share information about their programs and register children willing to join this year.

Estevan Mermaids, Sharks Water Polo, Souris Valley Museum, Estevan Skating Club, Estevan Broomball, Estevan Taekwon-Do, Red Cross Swimming, Special Olympics Estevan Youth, Estevan Bowling and Estevan Lacrosse will be setting up tables for city-wide as well.

A pop-up vaccination clinic will be working on-site from 5-8:30 p.m., with Pfizer and Moderna vaccine available. No appointment is needed.

Councilor Kirsten Walliser reminded the residents during the Tuesday council meeting to stop by and check out what the city has to offer.

“I hear a lot from community members saying I don't know what's happening, I don't know where to go for information. And city-wide is that point to connect with different community groups and sporting activities.

“And this year, citywide is actually also hosting a vaccine clinic. So while you're there, registering your kids anyways, anybody who's eligible, ages 12 and up, can get vaccinated at the same time,” Walliser said.
