ESTEVAN — The Estevan Early Years Family Resource Centre (EEYFRC) and the Orpheum Theatre have partnered to bring new excitement to local kids.

The first kids-friendly movie experience is a special event slated for Sept. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at the movie theatre, where kids will have an opportunity to watch Paw Patrol: The Mighty.

The lights will be dimmed, and the volume will be low, and since it's hard to get a child to sit still quietly for a whole movie during this special event, kids are welcome to move around and chat with each other. Strollers are welcome as well.

"The theatre, as great as they are, has made all admissions to this showing $9 and everyone under three years old is free," said the EELFRC in a press release.

"We would also like to thank L&C Trucking for sponsoring 40 free children's admissions to this event."

They noted that the free children's admission tickets are first come, first serve, but even if people don't get a free admission ticket, they are still able to come to the event.

Tickets must be picked up from the Estevan Early Years Family Resource Centre, located at 255 Spruce Drive (the Estevan Comprehensive School) before the movie.

People don't need to register in advance. They can just show up at the theatre as they normally would.

If you have any questions about this event, please email the EEYFRC at estevanfamilycentre@sasktel.net or message them on Facebook.
