ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service recently saluted one of the long-time members of the organization.

Craig Bird, who retired from the police agency in 2019 after a lengthy career, was presented with a 20-year Exemplary Service Medal by local Police Chief Richard Lowen, on behalf of the Governor General of Canada.

Bird spent 22 years with the EPS, and was a sergeant when he retired. 

He has also been an active part of the community, and is the founder of the Southeast Military Museums.
