Rocket Nation raises over $8,000 during Pink Game

The fundraiser raised $8,228.19 for Ryder Dancsok and his family.

ASSINIBOIA - The pink basketball was put back in its case, after another successful pink game was held by the Assiniboia Composite High School Rockets team.

The fundraiser raised $8,228.19 for Ryder Dancsok and his family.

According to Al Wandler, there were 300 in attendance for the pink game, held on March 15.

The senior girls basketball team hosted the pink game against the Gravelbourg Hawks. In addition to the basketball game, there was an auction, prizes for the pink game penny parade and sale of pink shirts during the event.

Ryder Dancsok is a 17 year old student at the Assiniboia Composite High School and beloved member of the community of Assiniboia who is dealing with a kidney disease and is in need of funds to offset costs related to his treatment.

His family was very appreciative of all the support received during the event. Organizers also expressed their appreciation to donors and supporters.
