Spring Fever Lotto makes first draw, close to sell-out

The Spring Fever Lotto is marking its 27th year.

ASSINIBOIA - The first draw of the year for the Spring Fever Lotto, a previous buyer’s draw, was held on March 6.

“The winner chose $5,000 for his prize. Our next draw date for the very early buyer prizes will be Sunday, March 20,” said Curtis Nelson, president of the Civic Improvement Association. “Listen for live coverage of the draws on site at Nelson GM in Assiniboia closer to March 20.”

“Our Spring Fever Lotto is in its 27th year. All funds raised go to civic improvement projects. This year the Assiniboia Southland Co-op Arena is the recipient,” said Nelson.

The quickest sell out for the Spring Fever Lotto was 2021 and this year is on pace to be a close second. “Our final draw is May 29,” said Nelson. “Currently our 50/50 jackpot is over $110,000 cash. Tickets for 50/50 are $10 each, three for $25 or 10 for $50.”

The Spring Fever Lotto features over $248,000 in prizes. The winning grand prize is $150,000 cash or winners can choose from a plane, a truck and fifth wheel package or three different agricultural packages from New Holland, Case IH or John Deere, in addition to several other prizes.
