William Husband was the recipient of the legion scholarship. He is the great-grandson of Freeman Husband. The poppy bursary was given to Brady Taylor of Calgary, who is the great-grandson of Albert Dickson.

Freeman Husband and Albert Dickson were dedicated legion members so it is appropriate that their great grandsons received these awards.
