Assiniboia Chamber luncheon celebrates Heart of the Golden South

Guest speaker was Mayor Sharon Schauenberg who spoke on the new normal for small town Saskatchewan and reflected on her role as Town Mayor.

ASSINIBOIA - The Assiniboia Chamber of Comemrce held their first luncheon of 2021. There was good attendance at the event.

Chamber board members Shelly Dahlman and Kathy Kennedy hosted the event. Guests were welcomed warmly and enjoyed a very tasty lunch catered by Rita Walters that was enjoyed by all. 

Announcements of upcoming Assiniboia Chamber events were made: the Santa Parade will be held on Wednesday, December 1. A Chamber of Commerce Social will be held on Friday, December 3.

There will be a draw each month during 2022 from the Members of the Chamber who will be featured in a tribute.

She spoke of the role of council and the function that it serves in Assiniboia.  Reflecting on the improvements and forecasted projects to come, the future looks bright and promising for Assiniboia.

Even though there is at times difficult decisions to be made at the council level, assures that the best interests of the town and its town folk will always be foremost now and in future. As Schauenberg summed it up, “We are all better together and we are truly the Heart of the Golden South.”
