WEYBURN – Nominations are now open for Southeast Oilperson of the Year and Southeast Saskatchewan Legends Awards, and will close on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023.
The awards will be presented during the 2024 Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show on June 5, 2024.
The Southeast Oilperson of the Year goes to an individual recognized as making a significant contribution to the growth and success of the industry in Southeast Saskatchewan.
The candidate should be based in Southeast Saskatchewan.
To qualify for the Southeast Saskatchewan Legends, they should be individuals who have contributed significantly to the industry, associations and community in southeast Saskatchewan over the duration of their career.
Criteria for this award includes at least 25 years of work in the oil and gas industry, with the majority of that time being spent in southeast Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan Oil and Gas Show will next be held on June 5-6, 2024, at the Weyburn exhibition grounds. The show will be filled with indoor and outdoor exhibits showing everything from service rigs to secondary containment.
The bi-annual event held in Weyburn provides an opportunity for the service and supply segment of the industry to display their products and latest technology applicable to the oil and gas industry.
