WEYBURN - The SaskTel Store in Weyburn is looking better than ever. The newly renovated store on 314 Coteau Avenue is open for business, and the store grand opening started on Monday and will continue until Friday, August 28.
With the renovations, the store will now have all the features enjoyed by the other 11 SaskTel store locations.
“We’re really excited with the look and all the enhancements that have been made,” said store manager Carter Hilkewich. “The walls have been removed and exterior windows will now bring sunlight to the store showcasing the modern look and feel. The space now has an open concept and a smoother flow.”
Enhancements include digital display boards that will show advertisements and the latest promotions that customers can view when in the store. There’s also a ‘device island’, which will house all the new devices that customers can hold, demo and try out before purchase. A focus will also be put on consumer’s whole home connection needs, which include wireless and wireline products and services, featuring a new line of Google Home Products and a new Medical Alert product from SecurTek down the road.
“Monitors on the device island offer customer information, but customers can also be assisted by Sales Specialists to help educate them about how they can complete some changes on their own,” said Carter. “This will save them time since they will not have to call in or make a return visit for changes they can make on their own.”
Some of the in-store innovations that came from the pandemic will continue to be present in the Weyburn Store (as they will in all the SaskTel Stores). For example, plexiglass dividers will continue to exist between employees and customers. QR codes will also remain present for a self-serve touchless experience for things like booking appointments, reading digital brochures, participating in contests and customer surveys.
