WEYBURN - The City of Weyburn will switch over to bi-weekly garbage pickup, starting the week of November 28.

The collection will begin to skip every other week, with the exception of the Christmas season, when it will be done weekly due to the higher volume of waste.

In the new year, the schedule will skip starting the week of Jan. 9 until March 24, when weekly pickup will resume.

The City’s residential area is divided into five areas, with one area being picked up each working day. The refuse carts need to be out on the street for pickup by 7 a.m. on collection days, and must be located two feet, or 0.6 metres, from the curb.

Residents are reminded that garbage must be bagged in the cart, and the cart lids must be closed. If a cart is overfilled, it will not be emptied.
