The 6th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser is taking place on May 2 at McKenna Hall and co-organizers Mike and Cara Weger have another excellent evening of entertainment planned.

This year the fundraising duo has arranged for Weyburn's Tenille Arts to start off the evening's entertainment, followed by Brad Johner & The Johner Boys with Brad performing his hit country songs and the boys performing their rendition of some popular pop/rock tunes.

"This isn't your typical benefit dinner," said Mike Weger. "The meal and the entertainment are worth the cost of the ticket. We try to put on an entertaining evening with the hope that the happy attendees will donate generously to Cystic Fibrosis Canada."

In addition to the supper and entertainment there will be some raffle items again this year and hopefully a few additional items to auction off. The net proceeds from the evening's events will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada at the Great Strides Walk fundraising event that the Weger family and their friends will be participating in on May 25.

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. Cystic fibrosis affects breathing and digestion, there is no cure.
