March is Nutrition Month all across Canada and here at CES we will be celebrating healthy eating. Our school wide activity will run the last week of March starting Monday March 28th. This activity will reinforce the importance of nutrition in achieving healthy and wellbeing. Students will be encouraged to pack a lunch that contains healthy items from each of the 4 food groups. Students will receive points for having healthy lunches. The winning class will be awarded with yogurt sundaes. Watch for the nutrition newsletter that will be going home next week.

Spring is right around the corner but as long as there is snow on the ground we are enjoying it here at CES. This week the students at CES had an opportunity to try out snowshoes. Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation lent us snowshoes to be used at school for the week. Thanks for providing this opportunity for our kids.

Grade 6 classes went to Asessippi on Wednesday to go skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. It was a great day for the kids and what a good experience! The grade two classes went to Moose Mountain Provincial Park on a field trip on Thursday March 10th.

Monday March 14th is a Staff Development Day, so there is no school for the students. Report Cards go home Next Friday March 18th. And Parent/Teacher Interviews are Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th in the evening. Friday March 25th there is no school.
