Carlyle, SK, May 4, 2011 - Homeowners in Carlyle will have all the more reason to start those spring projects as Carlyle Home Hardware celebrates the grand opening of its new, expanded store. After taking over the business 6 years ago, the Dealer-Owners are expanding to increase the product selection available to their customers.

"What I love about being a Home Hardware Dealer is helping the people in my community," said Nancy Matthewson, Dealer-Owner, Carlyle Home Hardware. "I love being out in the aisles with my customers, making sure that they find everything that they need. And now with our expanded floor space, I'll have even more aisles to walk them through."

Owned and operated by Nancy Matthewson and her husband, Gilles, Carlyle Home Hardware will be moving to a store almost three times the size of the former location. To celebrate, Carlyle Home Hardware will be hosting a charity barbecue on Friday and Saturday, with the proceeds going to support Manor and Gordon F. Kells High Schools.

"I would like to extend my congratulations to Nancy and Gilles on the growth of the business and the expansion of Carlyle Home Hardware," said Paul Straus, President and CEO, Home Hardware Stores Limited. "Moving into a new store is an exciting challenge for a Dealer-Owner, and we wish everyone at Carlyle Home Hardware continued success."

The grand opening celebration of Carlyle Home Hardware will begin on Friday, May 6th with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. and run through Saturday. Doors open on Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
