REGINA — The city of Regina’s Catalyst Committee is holding public consultations this week on how to align five major community projects.

Eight public information sessions begin Monday and continue to Thursday at the AGT Lounge at Mosaic Stadium. Those will include PowerPoint presentations on the five proposed Catalyst Committee projects and allow residents to provide feedback.

On Monday are the sessions for the multi-purpose event centre/arena. Tuesday are the sessions for Regina Aquatic Centre. Wednesday will be a joint presentation for a multi-purpose outdoor baseball event centre and a synthetic outdoor field project for soccer. Thursday’s sessions are on modernization of the central library.

The public sessions are at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day and run two hours each.

The Catalyst Committee was created in August by Regina council to explore how to align the five proposed recreation and cultural-based facility proposals, with plans to report back to council early next year. Among their tasks is to explore potential synergies, including potential locations and timing for when each project should go ahead.

Also happening this week is the launch of an online community survey on Be Heard Regina, which will launch at noon Monday. This survey will provide the community to give input on the five projects.

The survey will be open until Nov. 10. For more information, go to https://beheard.regina.ca/catalyst-committee.
