Effective immediately, Mr. Calvin Tant's employment as Chief Executive Officer of the Sun Country Health Region (SCHR) has been terminated.
Sharon Bauche, Chair of the Board of Sun Country Health Region, today informed Mr. Tant that his employment with SCHR has been terminated.
"Unfortunately, the Board has lost trust and confidence in Mr. Tant," said Mrs. Bauche.
"The Board of SCHR feels that new leadership is required in order to move forward on a number of issues currently facing our Region."
"Marga Cugnet, currently Vice President of Primary and Integrated Health, has agreed to become Interim CEO," added Bauche.
"The Board is pleased that Marga, with her years of experience in the Region, has agreed to lead us during this period. She has the full confidence and support of the Board.
"In addition, Pam Haupstein, CA, currently Regional Director of Finance, will become the Interim Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services. Pam has been an integral part of the finance department for many years and has the knowledge and experience to provide strong fiscal continuity," said Bauche.
