City of Weyburn to remove masking requirement as of Feb. 28

The City of Weyburn will lift COVID restrictions, including masking rules, in all city facilities on Feb. 28

WEYBURN – The remaining public health orders requiring masking in indoor public spaces and mandatory five-day isolation for individuals with positive COVID-19 tests remain in effect until the end of day, Feb. 27.  All public health orders in Saskatchewan will be removed as of Monday, Feb. 28. 

The City of Weyburn will be in alignment with the Government of Saskatchewan and will remove the requirement for masking in all City of Weyburn facilities. 

Continue to Protect Yourself and Your Community

Residents are encouraged to continue to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 including wearing your best mask, taking advantage of free rapid testing, regular hand-washing, staying home when ill, and getting vaccinated, including your third/booster dose as soon as you are eligible. Booster/third dose eligibility now includes everyone 12 years of age and older.

Rapid Test Kits

The City of Weyburn continues to provide residents of Weyburn and the surrounding area with free rapid antigen testing kits at home. Kits are available at the Public Works Building, located at 55 16th Street, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 4 pm.
