WEYBURN - Are you - or was someone you know - a former Lady Charity or Captain United for the Communithon?
If you were, Communithon is looking to connect with you.
Communithon holds a ton of memories in their 40 years of history, and one of the most enduring staples of the event was the Lady Charity and Captain United roles. This job entailed inviting two local youth to act as the presenters and ambassadors for the cause live on the day of the event.
This year, the Communithon Entertainment Committee wants to celebrate and bring back some of that nostalgia by asking former community members that took on the role to contact Communithon.
“Although we have stepped away from the Lady Charity and Captain United model in recent years, this doesn’t mean that we have forgotten about it. It was a great way to actively engage youth in the Communithon, and many of those young people grew up to continue to give back to our community and others in some way” said Lindsay Manko-Bauche, Entertainment committee chair. “We just want to acknowledge how far the Communithon has come, and commemorating Lady Charity and Captain United seems like a great way to do this.
If you were someone or know someone who was Lady Charity or Captain United, please contact the Entertainment committee via email at email@example.com or contact us via their Facebook page titled “Communithon”.
