ESTEVAN - The Estevan Police Service has announced charges against three people in connection with the drug bust that happened in the city last week.

The EPS Drug-Intelligence Unit executed two search warrants in relation to a cocaine trafficking investigation. One was at a residence in the 400-block of Third Street and the other was in the 400-block of the Willow Park Greens home park, resulting in the seizure of over 30 grams of cocaine.

The operation was supported by EPS patrol units and the Joint Tactical Support Team for the EPS and the Weyburn Police Service.

Deputy Police Chief Murray Cowan said the drugs have a street value of approximately $3,200.

The three people were charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The charges against all three have since been stayed.

The EPS reported on Friday that a fourth person had been arrested, but that person has not been charged at this time.
