Police conducted several traffic stops due to many functions that were taking place in and around the city on Oct. 1. The majority of people were seen walking, using taxi services or having designated drivers. Police did locate a 25-year-old driver who was under the influence of alcohol and was issued a 21-day driver's licence suspension. The driver had also been speeding and was charged accordingly.

Police did other mandatory roadside tests and were happy to report no other suspensions were recorded.

The stolen black Dodge pick-up truck that was the subject of a media release last week, as well as many social media posts, was located unoccupied in Regina. The registered owner was updated on the vehicle's location. The investigation into the theft continues. If anyone has any information, please call the EPS or Crime Stoppers.
