EPS make a couple of arrests

ESTEVAN — Police arrested several individuals in Estevan this week.

EPS members received a complaint of an unwanted individual in a residence on April 24. When members arrived, they learned the individual had left and was in a vacant residence next door. He, along with a second individual was located and subsequently arrested. Both are facing charges for unlawfully being in a dwelling. One individual was released from custody with a court date in May. The second subject will be held for court due to breaching his conditional sentence order.

Police also were alerted to an individual passed out in a public bathroom. The subject was arrested and through investigation, it was learned there were active warrants from Regina. The individual was later released from custody and will answer to a new charge of obstruction in June.

Police received a report of a fail to remain at the scene of an accident during the night shift on April 27. The offending vehicle and driver were identified, and the driver was issued a ticket under the traffic safety act. The accident was referred to SGI.

Police also received a report from a local business relating to a suspicious person. The individual was identified and his reason for attending the business repeatedly was justified.
