EPS members make arrests for uttering threats, outstanding warrants

The Estevan Police Service made an arrest for uttering threats and breaching release conditions.

ESTEVAN - Members of the Estevan Police Service have made a couple of arrests this week. 

Officers were advised Tuesday that a man had made threats to harm members and himself. The 38-year-old man was located and arrested for uttering threats and breaching conditions of a probation order. He was held in cells to be taken to court in the morning.

Police received a 911 call Thursday from a residence in Estevan. Members attended and spoke with a youth who called for a non-emergent matter, regarding the proper use of 911.

Officers received a report of a fraud from a local business. A cheque had been altered and cashed in a different city. The matter is under investigation.

Members arrested a 48-year-old Estevan man on outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. He has been in held in custody and will be remanded to appear in front of a Provincial Court judge.
