Estevan legion hosts Ukrainian supper fundraiser

Estevan Ukrainian community treated many families to a delicious supper, raising money for those struggling because of the Russian war against Ukraine.

ESTEVAN - Estevan once again showed up to support the Estevan Ukrainian community, fundraising for the people of Ukraine struggling because of the Russian invasion.

On Saturday, the Estevan Ukrainian community invited local families to join them at the Royal Canadian Legion Estevan branch’s Club Room for a traditional supper.

Delicious homemade cabbage rolls, perogies, sausages, buns and desserts were served to help raise money for Ukraine.

Merchandise with Ukrainian symbols was always available for purchase at the site.

Many families took the opportunity to support an important cause and also enjoy a authentic meal. Some could compare to what their parents or grandparents have treated them to.

All proceeds from the event will go to relief support.

Saturday marked the 80th day since Russia started a war against Ukraine, which still sees no resolution.
