Fire rips through the Moosehead Inn at Kenosee Lake

The popular Moosehead Inn at Kenosee Lake has been destroyed by a fire.

KENOSEE LAKE - A fire has ravaged a Kenosee Lake restaurant and cabaret area that was popular with southeast Saskatchewan residents and people from across the province alike.

The Moosehead Inn was destroyed by the fire overnight.

There are no reports of injuries, and no reported cause.

In a Facebook post, owner Dale Orsted thanked those who have messaged him and offered kind words, and also thanked the staff and the customers over the years.

He also said his family was fine. 

The Moosehead has long had its restaurant, and its cabaret nightclub recently opened on July 11, after being shut down since September 2019.

According to the Moosehead Inn's website, the main floor had the restaurant with a nautical theme. The upper floor boasted thea night club and cabaret with DJ entertainment.

It also appeared in the book Haunted Saskatchewan due to ghost sightings.
