Five ECS grads earn provincial award

Five of last year's Estevan Comprehensive School graduates have earned Saskatchewan General Proficiency Awards. Each of the students named for the award received $400 and a certificate of achievement.

Each of the students named for the award received $400 and a certificate of achievement.


The General Proficiency Awards are distributed to the top academic students in Saskatchewan's secondary schools.


A total of 26 graduating students from the South East Cornerstone School Division captured the award this year.


The five ECS students and their grade point percentages are as follows:


Clinton Chess, 94.1; Rebecca Cooper, 94.6; Matthew Cundall, 95; Marcus Lau, 95.7 and Christian Sereggela 95.4.


Shirley Reiter of the ECS student services department, said that all five were being congratulated by the administration and staff at ECS for their outstanding efforts.
