Guilty plea in Estevan child pornography case

ESTEVAN - An Estevan man has pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing child pornography from earlier this year.

Trevor Dean Curtis entered the plea on May 16 in Estevan Provincial Court. The charge is under the Criminal Code. 

He was released on conditions and will be sentenced on July 11.

Curtis was charged back in January, after members of the Estevan Police Service patrol division, Criminal Investigation Division and the Saskatchewan Integrated Child Exploitation Unit conducted an investigation.

Also, Qui Nguyen of Vancouver made an appearance on May 30. He is facing charges in connection with a drug arrest in mid-May in Estevan. He was remanded into custody for a show-case hearing on Monday at 9:30 a.m.

He is charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and resisting arrest under the Criminal Code.
