Volunteers line up to put down their names for the various subcommittees of Habitat for Humanity, at the first information meeting for the new organization held on June 19 at the Legion Hall. The subcommittees shown include fundraising, with Ron and Patty Evans receiving volunteers, the volunteers subcommittee with Jeannette Tonna nd Angela Debienne, and the construction subcommittee, with John Hulbert talking to interested parties. The location for the first Habitat house will be in the Riverwood subdivision, on the former Souris Valley grounds. Now the committee will take applications from families who want to have a Habitat house, and a selection process will begin once applications have come in.
